Now that your fundraising page looks awesome, and you’ve got a few dollars posted, you might be tempted to jump straight into a full-blown campaign launch. While this seems like the next logical step, this can actually cause your fundraising to stall out quicker than expected. And no one wants that.
To increase your chances of success, you need to properly roll it out.
First – Your Inner Circle. Start with people you are most comfortable with. The people in your life who would want to support a cause that’s important to you.
Getting your “inner circle” to donate to your page will help build up some momentum. Donations don’t need to be big! A gift of $5 is great…and appreciated. Every little bit counts.
Will you use email, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), snail-mail, text, phone calls? You know them better than anyone does, so don’t feel like you need to stick to a pre-written template. If a one-line text is going to work, go ahead and do that. If a longer personal message is better, that’s great!
Whatever you think will work best. Just be sure to have the instructions for making a donation to your fundraising page, handy.
